The Creative side of Me - Part 9 of Part 1

Part 9 of Part 1

On Friday I saw the second match of the world cup live. France Vs Uruguay. I had just the luck that I was able to watch the only non-exciting match in the world cup so far.
As you know I was not a soccer fan, but as the world cup proceeded so did my excitement and even my patrionism.
I found out that Messi is playing for Argentina in the world cup. I saw the whole match (on TV) of Argentina against Nigeria and what a game it was!
I have seen 5 full soccer games in less than a week and the others I have watched at least half if not more.

Now in the plane on my way to Israel for the rest of the time period of the world cup I...

In the match I saw live there was a guy sitting next to me with a vuvuuzela. He blew it and I sub-consciously cringed. He didn't blow it for the rest of the match. I felt a bit bad. vuvuzelas aren't my favourite thing, but I honestly don't mind them. After they numb out your ears it doesn't really bother you anymore. This instrument that makes a huge racket and is blown non-stop into my ears and other people's ears make some persons happy and if I really don't mind them why give someone the feeling of guilt everytime they blow the vuvuzela. My father has a completely different perspective on this, but everyone has the right to their opinions, right? or does that change when it comes to vuvuzelas?

Being a South African  who thought that our soccer team couldn't kick a ball before, I feel ashamed, but proud that they proved me wrong. Our goal scored by Tshabalala, the first goal of the 2010 World Cup, was elegant and fantastic beyond imagination, well at least to me.

I am sorry reader if you were not a soccer fan before the world cup and you still aren't one now. I know I probably sound like my teachers and their soccer devotions that I dreaded at the time, but I had a change of mind, that tends to happen.

On a completely different note! I am going to without shame advertise my friends' and my own other blog- For My Frifes- This is more of a journal like blog of each one of my friends, but names aren't mentioned, but if you do the great honour of checking out the blog (its in my blog list) then you can try guess which one is mine.

The Creative side of Me - Part 8 of Part 1

Famous Oaks
Who is your favourite? The hot sport guys or the extravagant singers? What makes people famous these days is not always talent. There are a few actresses that are now singers just because they were already famous. You can get famous for just being rich! But the ultimate question is: Why would someone want to become a famous singer, actor/actress, dancer? Drugs, alcohol, sex, etc... I don't think so. Some may answer for the money, but then why not be a dentist? They earn a pretty decent salary. Some may answer to be known, but why then not become an author? Some may just say they have the talent and want a career with it. I have no objection to that one, but that fame is not always as glorious as it may seem and most people know this with Heat and other magazines its hard to miss. Yet people strive to live a life like that, they say that they will be different... I don't mean that there aren't exceptions, there are just not many at all.
